Checking Applications installed via the Software Centre

You can list all updates made to your computer by clicking on the “History” tab in the left hand pane:

This can be really handy if an application is having an adverse effect on your computer. For example, if you know your computer was fine before a certain date, you can check what was installing after that date and before you first noticed the problem.

Click on the down arrow in from of the date you are interested in order to see what occurred on that day:

Drill Down Detail

There are four tabs, which basically restrict the output of the logs:

All Changes : this lists all events that happened on that day

Installations : this only lists installations that happened on that day

Updates : this only lists patches to applications that happened on that day

Removals : this only lists uninstalls that happened on that day
