Locating a Specific point in a Video using Kino

Using the Timeline in Kino

If you are having a hard time finding the exact start/end of a section you wish to edit, you can click on the "Timeline" tab, which will show your scene laid out as a series of stills:

Click on any of the thumbnails to be taken to that point in the video sequence: you can then use the frame advance/reverse buttons to locate the exact point you require.
