Problems Dual Booting Linux with Windows XP

If you find that your dual-boot system will run Linux OK but Windows XP will not boot at all, then check the BIOS Setup program to see if your SATA interface is configured in IDE or AHCI mode. If you find it configured to use the latter, then XP cannot seem to read drives in this mode, so change it to IDE and save your changes, prior to rebooting.
