Installing the RAID Software

Before we can set up a software RAID array under Linux, we need to install the Logical Volume Manager (LVM) and the disc mirroring utilities using the following command:

sudo apt-get install lvm2 dmsetup mdadm
$ sudo apt-get install lvm2 dmsetup mdadm
