Adding Samba Shares to a Windows Client

If you have Windows XP clients, add the Samba shares in Explorer using:

  • Select "Tools → Map Network Drive"
  • Choose a free drive letter
  • Enter the share as \\<Samba server IP>\<Samba share name> or click the "Browse" button to search through your network graphically
  • Check (tick) the "Reconnect at logon" box
  • Click the "Finish" button
